“Strength & Soul”
At Kavalierhaus Gifhorn, José Jorge Fragoso Côco presented "Strength & Soul" — a solo exhibition that brought the expressive quality of his current work into concentrated focus. The works on show move between powerful presence and quiet sensitivity, opening a pictorial space in which emotional intensity and painterly reduction enter into a tension-filled balance.
The animal portraits and human faces in particular define the exhibition through their immediate expressive force. They seem at once archaic and approachable, powerful and vulnerable. This connection is what gives the works their particular quality: they assert themselves not through motif and format alone, but through a visual language that makes atmosphere, character and inner movement visible.
